Once upon a time... Somewhere on Newgrounds. There was a series of three Flash animations called "Baby Basher" that was uploaded by @MakoSucks back in the 2000s... The first one was released in 2003, and it was the original "Baby Basher", the second one was called "Baby Basher: REDUX" released in 2005, and later somehow deleted the same year, and the third one was "Baby Basher: EVIL" released back in 2007... With an easter egg. Three of them show a loop of a guy in a bondage suit bashing crying newborn babies in each of their heads. A little decade later, when these fucking pussy-ass crybabies from the GoAnimate & Logo Kids community discovered it, they started bashing the shit out of the creator and falsely accuse him of promoting child abuse, just over the animation's content... But considering that the last installment's easter egg was revealed that the reason behind Baby Basher being more offensive was the creator's decision of ragebaiting more cowards rather than his fetishistic arousal for blood and gore, the message suddenly hit the rock bottom, as it turns out that his violent cartoon finally did its great job years later, but low and , he just had to realise it to take advantage and celebrate his success. End of the story!
Moral of the story: Sometimes, when the work you've created has caused more outrage than expected, it doesn't actually mean that it's ruining its chance of being successful. That's just how the "No Such Thing as Bad Publicity" trope actually works.
